KRUG'S ULTIMATE SELECTION CHAMPAGNE :
- Krug Clos Du Mesnil 1995
Chardonnay grapes from a unique walled vineyard in the heart of the 'Cotes des Blancs'. Quantities are minute. The wine has mature, rich but subtle aromas with touches of honey, a particular characteristic of Krug Clos du Mesnil. Each vintage has a voice of its own.

Krug Champagnes have a reputation for ageing very well, of which the 1981 vintage will illustrate. Kept in the Krug cellars for 20 years or more, the wines develop personality and fullness without losing any of their finesse and freshness.
Over the decades, the aromas in old Krug Collection vintages develop slowly through successive phases, releasing notes of hazelnut, toffee, sugarplums, undergrowth, honey and apricot. Krug Collection 1981 - a great wine with an elegant presence.
